<p>Advancements in digital technology have driven the adoption of Video-on-Demand (VoD) services across various sectors, including education. However, the application of this technology to pottery-making instruction remains limited. Knowledge transfer typically relies on conventional methods, which are constrained by time, location, and participant reach. Furthermore, there is currently no dedicated platform offering structured and sustainable educational content on pottery making. This research aims to design and develop a VoD information system for pottery education utilizing a subscription-based monetization model. The web-based system incorporates features for video content management, user administration, and subscription services for accessing premium content. The system was developed using the Rapid Application Development (RAD) method, which emphasizes a swift development process comprising requirements planning, system design, construction, and implementation. The project seeks to deliver an information system that presents pottery-making instructional material in a structured, accessible, and interactive manner. Beyond enhancing learning effectiveness for users, the subscription-based model is expected to ensure service sustainability while generating economic value for artisans acting as content providers. Consequently, the developed system can serve as a digital educational tool, supporting both the preservation of the pottery craft and the growth of the technology-driven creative economy.</p>Elsa Andini Putri

<p>Due to the increase in the number of stray cats in public areas, especially in college areas, this has caused a nuisance situation due to these cute animals to the clean environment. This situation often causes the management to face problems in terms of providing the nutritional needs and welfare of the cats that are inadvertently neglected. Therefore, a pet shelter called Connected Automatic Tray (CAT) has been developed with an Internet of Things (IoT)-based system to ensure that the condition of feeding cats into food containers, drinking containers and the lighting of the shelter is always at an optimal level. This system solves the problem of automatic feeding by estimating the quantity of food needed in a certain period, thus reducing the need for continuous monitoring by the management. In addition, sheltering stray cats provides cats with a choice of shelter. This system also allows the college management to monitor the environment that is always the focus to be clean and not polluted by the actions of stray cats. <p>The development of digital-based education such as Massive Open Online Courses (MOOC) integrated with micro-credentials has expanded access to borderless education. The developed MOOC assists students in mastering the fundamentals of schematic circuit learning up to the application of systems using microcontrollers and sensors. This study aims to develop a micro-credential-based MOOC strategy that enhances students’ potential through the implementation of the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The ADDIE model provides a systematic framework for the development of micro-credentials. The findings of the study indicate that (i) students’ motivation towards the implemented MOOC was high (97.6%), (ii) the MOOC content was attractive (92.7%), (iii) video-oriented explanatory elements were highly engaging (90.2%), (iv) useful feedback on assignments and the level of assignment difficulty were positively rated (85.4% & 82.9%), and (v) the assessments were considered appropriate (73.2%). <p>Timetable management is a critical administrative process because lecturers and students depend on accurate, current, and accessible schedules. Before digital implementation, timetable preparation at Arau Community College involved fragmented files, face-to-face coordination, printed approvals, and repeated distribution when revisions occurred. PENJAWAPs, an acronym for Pengurusan Jadual Waktu Kolej Komuniti Perlis, was introduced in 2022 as a cloud-based timetable management system using Google Sites, Google Drive, and Google Sheets. The innovation centralises collaborative planning, document storage, timetable publication, and digital access. This article describes the system workflow and evaluates lecturers' acceptance using the Technology Acceptance Model. The evaluation dataset comprised 78 completed lecturer responses collected through a questionnaire with 10 perceived ease-of-use items and 10 perceived-usefulness items. Descriptive statistics, Cronbach's alpha, and Pearson correlation analysis were applied. Lecturers reported high perceived ease of use (M = 4.67, SD = 0.40) and high perceived usefulness (M = 4.61, SD = 0.38). Reliability was excellent for ease of use (alpha = 0.920) and good for usefulness (alpha = 0.894). A strong positive relationship was identified between both constructs (r = 0.705, p < 0.001). <p>Waste management in public areas still faces issues of physical contact on bin lids, overflowing waste and lack of real-time monitoring. This situation can affect environmental cleanliness and increase the risk of surface contamination, especially in locations with high usage rates such as colleges, canteens, laboratories and offices. This article presents ZeroTouchBin, a prototype of a touchless smart bin that combines an ultrasonic sensor, ESP32 microcontroller, servo motor and Blynk IoT application. This system allows the bin lid to be opened automatically when an object or hand is detected at a set distance, while a second sensor is used to measure the fullness of the waste. The reading data is sent to the Blynk Cloud via WiFi connection and displayed on the user's smartphone. Product development is carried out using the ADDIE model which covers the analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation phases. Testing is carried out in stages through sensor testing, servo testing, WiFi connection testing, Blynk datastream testing, notification testing and overall system testing. The findings show that the system can serve as a practical prototype for touchless waste disposal and full-level digital monitoring. <p>System Analysis and Design (SAD) helps students structure a real problem before a system is developed. However, classroom observation among certificate-level information technology students indicates that many learners can understand a case-study narrative but struggle to translate the problem into coherent SAD documentation. The BookEZ Case-to-System Learning Model was developed as a complete worked learning reference that connects an authentic room-booking case study, syllabus-aligned SAD artefacts and a functional web-based system. Its key feature is a progressive side-by-side learning approach: while students construct or examine each SAD artefact, they simultaneously explore the related BookEZ screen or workflow to visualise how the planning decision appears in an actual system. The model was developed through curriculum mapping, case construction, documentation preparation, web-system implementation and guided reflective mapping. A rubric-based preliminary comparison across two cohorts (n = 32) showed improvement in logical flow, diagram completeness, symbol accuracy, ERD-database alignment and documentation organisation. The overall mean project score increased from 66% to 82%. The model also supports learning continuity when students progress to Web Development and need to plan a project before coding. <p>Student attendance management that still requires lecturers to manually mark attendance status in the existing system can cause various issues, including data entry errors, a time-consuming report preparation process and the risk of proxy attendance. In certain circumstances, student signatures on attendance sheets are also used as supporting records. To address these issues, KKA Attendance Pro was developed as a web-based smart attendance system for use at Arau Community College, Perlis. This system integrates layered authentication that includes artificial intelligence-based facial recognition, device biometric authentication via WebAuthn and location authentication using GPS Geo-Fencing. This system is also equipped with an Emotion Analytics module to record students' facial expression patterns during the check-in process, a sick leave certificate scanning module using Optical Character Recognition technology, an administrator dashboard, automatic report generation and absence warning letters. System development was carried out iteratively based on Agile principles through four phases. Technical testing and user testing were conducted for two weeks involving 30 students. The test results showed a facial recognition accuracy of 94.3%, a GPS verification success rate of 97.8% and a System Usability Scale score of 81.5 out of 100. During the test period, no proxy attendance incidents were recorded. <p>Commercial ornamental aquaculture expansion faces significant financial constraints due to escalating manufacturing costs of traditional fish meal. Simultaneously, the seafood processing industry generates millions of tonnes of biological unmanaged by-products, causing severe ecological footprint concerns due to slow natural degradation kinetics. To alleviate these dual operational challenges, an innovative, eco-friendly supplementary feed named Cra'sh Fish Flakes (CFF) was developed using repurposed mud crab (Scylla olivacea) shells and discarded anchovy heads as zero-cost structural raw matrices. A 60-day in vivo biological feeding trial evaluated 60 juvenile guppies (Poecilia reticulata), distributed uniformly across four experimental dietary treatment formulations: Treatment 1 (100% Commercial Control Pellet), Treatment 2 (25% CFF + 75% Commercial), Treatment 3 (50% CFF + 50% Commercial), and Treatment 4 (100% Pure CFF). Biometric indicators tracking wet body weight (g) and longitudinal axis length extension (cm) were documented weekly along with rigorous physicochemical water quality assessments. Proximate nutritional profiling verified that CFF contains 26.1% crude protein, 2.6% crude fat, and 12.4% total carbohydrates, satisfying optimal dietary thresholds for omnivorous ornamental fish. Over the 8-week developmental cycle, the 100% pure CFF cohort (T4) achieved absolute physiological acceleration, advancing from an initial body weight of 0.14 g to a final weight of 0.41 g, and standard length from 1.3 cm to 3.3 cm. This project introduces Hikers Hub, a centralized web-based platform engineered to streamline hiking trail exploration, facilitate direct guide bookings, and enhance outdoor safety preparedness. Developed using an iterative prototyping model. The web-based integrates a responsive front-end interface built on HTML, CSS, and JavaScript with a robust PHP and MySQL backend architecture. Key innovations include WhatsApp API integration for streamlined trip communication and a downloadable digital booklet system accessible via offline QR codes, ensuring safety guidelines remain available without internet connectivity. Usability and functional testing conducted in collaboration with the Kaki Redah Club (KRC) community demonstrated high user satisfaction across interface clarity, fast database processing, and automated booking workflows. However, maintaining accurate fertilizer concentration remains a challenge for many gardeners because manual mixing often leads to inconsistent nutrient delivery and reduced plant growth performance. This paper presents the development of the Household Fertilizer (HOFER), an Internet of Things (IoT)-based smart fertigation system designed for home gardening applications. The proposed system integrates an ESP32 microcontroller, Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) sensor, water level sensors, peristaltic dosing pumps, water pumps, a web-based dashboard, MySQL database, and Telegram Bot communication. A prototyping methodology was adopted to design, develop, test, and refine the system iteratively. The developed prototype automates fertilizer mixing, nutrient monitoring, and irrigation processes while providing real-time monitoring, historical data logging, and remote notification capabilities. Performance evaluation demonstrated that the system successfully maintained nutrient concentrations within acceptable tolerance ranges and provided reliable monitoring and communication performance. One example is mangosteen peel, which is commonly discarded even though it contains antioxidant compounds beneficial to human health. This project aimed to develop Mangosteen Peel Cookies, an innovative snack product made from mangosteen peel flour and butterfly pea flower extract. The product was designed to promote the utilization of agricultural waste, provide a healthier snack alternative, and support sustainable food production. The production process involved drying and grinding mangosteen peels into flour, preparing butterfly pea flower extract as a natural coloring agent, mixing the ingredients, baking the cookies, and packaging the final product. The resulting cookies exhibited a crispy texture, pleasant aroma, attractive appearance, and distinctive flavor. The incorporation of mangosteen peel flour enhanced the functional value of the product due to its antioxidant properties, while butterfly pea flower extract improved visual appeal through natural coloring. The business model focused on creating value from agricultural waste while targeting health-conscious consumers, students, young adults, and environmentally aware individuals. Marketing strategies included both online and offline approaches to increase product visibility and consumer acceptance. The findings indicate that mangosteen peel can be successfully transformed into a value-added food ingredient. Furthermore, Mangosteen Peel Cookies demonstrate potential as a healthy, environmentally friendly, and commercially viable snack product. However, some consumers do not have practical information about caffeine content, acidity levels, additives, and menu options that suit their body conditions. This article compiles Dokter Coffee's innovation plan, which is a QR/barcode application and system to help coffee shop customers obtain more secure, informative, and personal coffee menu recommendations. The method used is Business Model Canvas mapping, literature study, initial observation of coffee shop digital needs, and Design Thinking approach to formulate features, service flow, and implementation strategy. The implementation stage includes the preparation of the coffee and partner database, barista and business owner education, assistance with the installation of QR at the table or cash register, as well as evaluation through indicators of QR usage, customer satisfaction, loyalty, and recommendation transaction value. The results of the plan show that Dokter Coffee has a double value proposition: customers get healthy coffee education and a more personal ordering experience, while coffee shops get service differentiation, specialty menu promotions, and anonymous customer behavior data. Chik'N Melt was developed as a quality potato layer-based snack innovation with a milky lumper cheese filling and abundant chicken topping. This product offers a combination of crunchy, soft, and creamy texture with a savory-creamy taste that is easily accepted by young consumers. The development method uses a descriptive-qualitative approach to the culinary category through literature studies, competitor observation, recipe planning, Business Model Canvas mapping, and Design Thinking to formulate product value, production flow, and packaging visual design. The planning results show that Chik'N Melt has a strong value proposition through the combination of familiar ingredients, the sensation of melty cheese, abundant chicken toppings, and the slogan "Tasty Potatoes, Melting Cheese, Plenty of Chicken One Bite Directly Addictive!" This product has the potential to be marketed through the pre-order system, campus stalls, culinary bazaars, and social media. <p>Plastic bottle waste is still an environmental problem because it is often used once, is easily dispersed, and requires consistent management. On the other hand, the need for cheap, safe, portable, and aesthetic room decoration increases along with the trend of creative products based on recycling. This article discusses the development of Bottle Light, which is a decorative night lamp that utilizes the top of a used plastic bottle as a lampshade, galvanized wire as a frame, macrame rope as a pole covering, glitter foam as an ornament, beads or flower stickers as a visual sweetener, and battery LED candles as a source of warm light. The method used is the Eco-Recycle approach through the observation of waste materials, user needs analysis, competitor study of decorative lighting products, visual planning based on design thinking, prototype production, lighting function testing, and conceptual evaluation using the rubric of safety, aesthetics, portability, cost, and environmental value. The development results show that Bottle Light can transform used plastic bottles into a functional product with a modern lantern look, warm white light, low risk of heat due to using LED, as well as potential as a creative product of UMKM, room decoration, and environmental education media. <p>The development of the internet and social media makes it easier for students to obtain information, but also increases the risk of exposure to hoaxes, leakage of personal data, unethical communication, and excessive use of online time. This innovation produced an educational poster "Read, Understand, Filter! Digital Literacy Is Important!" as a visual campaign media that is simple, attractive, and easy to understand by the younger generation. The poster is designed in a futuristic style with shades of purple, blue, and neon, and features an illustration of a small robot reading a book as a symbol of the learning process and the intelligent use of technology. The development method uses a Design Thinking approach that includes problem identification, message formulation, visual planning, poster prototype making, and conceptual evaluation based on message clarity, readability, relevance to the target, and visual strength. The development results show that the poster has five main messages, namely distinguishing facts from hoaxes, seeking information from trusted sources, maintaining privacy and personal data, managing online time, and communicating ethically. This poster has the potential to be used as educational media in schools, campuses, organizational activities, and community campaigns because it combines digital literacy messages with modern visuals that suit the character of students. <p>Tropikies is an innovative healthy snack product in the form of cookies that utilizes coconut dregs as the main raw material. This product was developed as a solution to the problem of food waste that is still found in the coconut processing industry. Utilization of coconut dregs not only reduces organic waste, but also produces products of high economic value that are rich in fiber and environmentally friendly. This research aims to develop the Tropikies business model through the Business Model Canvas (BMC) approach to create a sustainable and competitive business. The methods used include observation of market trends, simple interviews with prospective consumers, competitor analysis, as well as the application of the Design Thinking approach in product development. The results of the research show that Tropikies has a promising market potential as the community's awareness of healthy and sustainable consumption patterns increases. Business Model Canvas analysis shows that the main advantage of the product lies in the utilization of organic waste into value-added food products, the use of environmentally friendly packaging, and an effective digital marketing strategy. In addition to providing economic benefits, Tropikies also contributes to the reduction of food waste and supports the implementation of a circular economy. <p>Tuberculosis (TB) remains a critical global health challenge, where prolonged waiting times in primary healthcare screening environments severely heighten the operational risk of airborne cross-infection among waiting patients. Furthermore, the vast majority of contemporary computer-aided diagnostic frameworks operate as opaque black-box models that optimize mathematical accuracy solely for clinical personnel, creating a significant communication gap in patient-directed education and reassurance. This study introduces an innovative, web-based triage information system that integrates a Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) architecture with Gradient-weighted Class Activation Mapping (Grad-CAM) to generate patient-centric visual explanations. The system was engineered utilizing a systematic, multi-stage iterative development methodology. The first iteration focused on dataset curation, strict preprocessing, and training the core CNN binary classification engine to distinguish pathological manifestations of TB from normal radiographs. The second iteration mathematically embedded the Grad-CAM module to dynamically extract gradient-based class activation maps from the final convolutional layer, projecting intuitive heatmaps onto the infected pulmonary regions. The final iteration established a robust, full-stack web interface driven by a real-time database architecture to securely segregate role-based access. Empirical validation demonstrates that the underlying model delivers highly reliable screening capabilities, while the resulting visual heatmaps substantially enhance layperson comprehension and lower procedural anxiety. The ultimate impact of this innovation lies in its capacity to automate triage acceleration and empower patient health literacy without overstepping or replacing definitive clinical diagnoses by medical professionals.</p>Fauzan Aznan BintangAkabarul Rahman
